01/18/2019 - 2019 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Dylan returned to Baseball Factory's Pre-Season All-America event in Arizona for the second consecutive year and, once again, performed extremely well. His measurables were among the best throughout all categories of anyone in attendance: 99 mph exit velocity, 95 mph raw arm strength and a 6.80 in the 60. As impressive as those numbers were, Dylan's ability to play the game, and specifically hit high-level pitching, is what separates him from the rest. A newly-selected Under Armour All-American, he continues to show he is one of the best position players in the country.

09/15/2018 - 2018 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East At the UA BF Futures event, Dylan continued to show that he is one of the top hitters in the entire 2020 class. He has the ability to drive balls to all fields with the ball making a different sound off his bat. His advanced approach includes excellent plate coverage, good strike zone judgement and quick hands that generate a lot of bat speed (95 mph exit velocity). Aside from taking an impressive batting practice, Dylan also has excellent competitive game at bats every time we see him. He's just a natural hitter who has a knack for the barrel, can handle velocity and reacts well to off-speed stuff. Dylan also showed well in the OF with a good first step, a clean exchange and lots of carry to his throws. Dylan is an impact bat that will be fun to continue to watch develop.

01/12/2018 - 2018 Under Armour All-America Pre-Season Tournament Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and is a prospect on the diamond. At the plate is where he continues to show best through an athletic setup. Hands are explosive and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing with the baseball coming off the bat differently when centered. In the OF, he continues to shine. He utilizes his quick/aggressive feet as he moves well laterally, displaying range as he covers a ton of ground. He displays smooth/clean actions with hands/feet working well together through the fielding process. With 2 years to further develop, Dylan has the makings of a special type player and solid draft type player in 2020.

09/16/2017 - 2017 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Dylan is a 2020 outfield prospect who can really swing the bat. He is natural and rhythmic in the box with a hanging leg stride for timing and excellent tracking ability. Dylan stalks the pitch well and explodes through contact with an aggressive and coordinated move. The ball came off his bat with authority in batting practice as well as in game play. He had competitive at bats throughout the Futures East event and appears to be unfazed by velocity and able to react well to off-speed stuff. Dylan is instinctual in the outfield with good hands and an efficient release. His arm is accurate and he closes well on balls. Look for big things from this impact bat.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
