07/16/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Dylan continues to shine on the diamond with his baseball abilities. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up, presenting hands as he makes the plays. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

04/07/2018 - Mid Atlantic Regional Accelerated Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Dylan is a hardworking and coach able prospect that made several adjustments during the Mid-Atlantic Regional Accelerated training weekend. At the plate, Dylan starts in a squared stance and has a short stride. He has fluid pre-pitch rhythm in his hands and uses he back side to attack the ball. He shows good bat speed and makes consistent hard contact through the middle part of the field. Continuing to load his hands back into the drive position and attacking the inside part of the ball will allow him to stay flat to the ball. Dylan will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
