01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory National Spring Training at Pirate City Dylan is a coachable player who worked very hard on his skills during his time in Pirate City. He is a gamer and competes every time he steps in-between the white lines. At SS, he is fundamentally sound, displaying smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he works to square balls up, presenting sure glove well out front. He isn't afraid to lay out and get dirty, keeping the ball in the INF. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup with patience as he tracks the ball into the zone (drawing 2 walks). Hands are loose as he works to stay inside the ball, hitting it where it's pitched and utilizing all parts of the field. On the mound, he shows solid mound presence and composure. Fastball showed in the low 70 range. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is outstanding as he throws strikes with all his pitches. He stays directional and repeats his delivery well. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Dylan has a good feel for the game and as a 2019 grad - still has a ton of time to progress.
