12/27/2021 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Dylan is an athletic SS/OF in the class of 2026. He has active feet and a quick release (65 velo). He maintains an athletic fielding position and uses his soft hands effectively. His high 3/4 slot produces throws that are to the target and online. At the plate, he has an athletic set up and loads his hands and hips well. He demonstrates to be a contact hitter at this point with potential for more. Currently, his defense is ahead of his offense. With another year left before enrolling in high school, he will have time to develop, add strength and improve his hard hit contact rate. Dylan has a bright future ahead of him.

06/25/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (MS) Dylan improved his foot speed has he ran his best 60 time to date. At 2B, he centers balls with his body and plays through more with is body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are loose and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently and adds body strength. At the event, he was 1 for 3 with 4 BB as he displays a patient approach and great eye.

12/27/2020 - Baseball Factory West Coast Winter Classic Dylan showed well at the West Coast Winter Classic. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic, open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

11/08/2020 - National Evaluation and Tryout - San Jose, CA Dylan continues to shine on the diamond. At 2B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present earlier and more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

09/04/2020 - MS All-Region Tournament Dylan is a 2B/OF prospect who showcased his skills during the All-Region Tournament. In the field, Dylan centers the ball in the middle of his body and fields in a square position. He throws from a 3/4 angle and keeps his throws consistent to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with good extension, spraying the ball to all fields. With six more years to develop, Dylan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/23/2020 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At SS, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

01/26/2020 - National Tryout Plus - San Jose, CA Dylan worked out at 2nd base and in the OF during his last workout with The Factory. At 2B, Dylan gets in a good ready position, he moves well to the ball, and fields squarely. He uses 2 hands, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy and direction to 1st base. In the OF, Dylan has firm hands, active feet, and he goes back on the ball well. He makes plays consistently and has a long arm action to his cut off man. At the plate, Dylan showed hitting improvements to 30 and 28. He stands in well balanced, takes a square stride toward the pitcher, and shows a direct swing path. He can spray to all fields and he uses his lower body.

05/19/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Redwood City (San Francisco/San Jose), CA Dylan is a scrappy, athletic, 2-way player who plays 2nd base and OF. In the INF, Dylan covers ground, his hands are firm, and he funnels the ball well. He gives good effort, makes plays, and throws with a loose arm action across the diamond. In the OF, Dylan takes good routes and angles to the ball, he fields squarely, and throws with a quick arm action to his cut off man. At the plate, Dylan has a tall set-up, he loads well, and stands in balanced. He has quick hands, transfers his weight properly, and hits well to the opposite field. Dylan can continue to get better with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
