07/28/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Dylan is talented 1B/OF prospect who has a tall, projectable build and graduates in 2019. As a right-handed hitter, Dylan has a tall setup with his weight in the back of his stance. He takes a load with a long stride as his lower half leads his swing. Dylan has an on-plane swing path and is developing bat speed. He shows the ability to drive the ball to opposite field. In the field, Dylan with effective footwork and good reads covering a wide range. He fields the ball in a square position with high hands. Dylan has a clean exchange leading into a long, loose arm action throwing from a 3/4 arm slot. He plays with good momentum through the baseball showing consistently strong, online throws. Overall, Dylan has a versatile skill set and the right approach to the game giving him high upside to take his game to the next level.

05/14/2017 - College PREP - Colorado Springs, CO Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities, showing at 1B and in the OF for the first time at the event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an above average runner at 7.28. At the plate, he improved hitting abilities / power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, he displays athletic actions. Feet are aggressive and display proper footwork around the bag. Glove action is soft / sure and presents well out front. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through more with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program.

05/08/2016 - National Tryout Plus - Lakewood (Denver), CO Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time, now an above average runner at 7.41. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and he works to square balls up. Presenting hands more out front will aid in improving defensive abilities. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing. He makes consistent contact and shows good barrel accuracy as he works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently.

01/15/2016 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Dylan is a coachable 1B who made adjustments to his game during his time in Arizona. At 1B - he hustles to his right and left working into a square fielding position behind the GB. He makes the playas and gathers well. Continuing to develop his footwork/agility will help to increase lateral range in the INF. With the bat, this righty shows a square setup waiting for his pitch. Swing is level as he connect and looks to drive the middle of the field. More lower 1/2 drive along with engaging more of his lower 1/2 will result in increased power. Dylan still has a lot of time to progress to get to where he wants to be.

10/04/2015 - College PREP - Parker (Denver), CO Dylan is an athletic R/R 1B. With the bat, this righty displays a square setup with quiet/simple actions. He jumps on pitches he likes, squaring them up and driving the ball back up the middle of the field. More rhythm to load along with more lower 1/2 drive will help to improve his skills at the plate. At 1B, Dylan takes a quick first step and moves well laterally to GB's to his right and left. He is sure handed and can pick it. Continuing to develop his foot speed / quickness will help to take his skills at 1B to the next level. Only a 2019 grad - Dylan still has a ton of time to develop his skills as well as physically mature.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
