09/12/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Trenton, NJ Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 6.89 runner. In the OF, he displays fluid/athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. He utilizes his quick feet well in covering a lot of ground, displaying range. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap to gap ability.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.03 runner. In the OF, he takes proper routes/angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

12/07/2019 - Mid-Atlantic Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Dylan is an OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this LHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is fluid getting back into his load and hits against a strong front side. He takes a short swing with fast bat speed, leading to loud contact and line drives. Overall, Dylan is a solid prospect who has the potential to contribute at the next level.

08/14/2019 - College PREP - Trenton, NJ Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.30 runner. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth/fluid actions. He takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind but needs to play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. At 1B, he displays clean/smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls but needs to play through with his body. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting/power potential has improved through an open setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach.

08/08/2017 - National Tryout - Trenton, NJ Dylan showed nice overall improvements during his last workout in Trenton. In the OF, Dylan has athletic actions, quick footwork, and he reads the ball off the bat well. He moves with agility to the ball, works behind well, and he gains momentum toward his target with a loose arm action when throwing. On the mound, Dylan stands over the rubber well, he has good direction, and his FB is in the zone. He has sound mechanics and repeats well. Offensively, Dylan shows a simple approach, good balance, and he gets his lower 1/2 through. He makes consistent contact through a level stroke. Dylan is a skilled 2-way player who has upside with still a ton of time to progress.

12/27/2016 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 2 Dylan is a young 2021 OF/LHP prospect from New Jersey. In the OF, Dylan works behind the ball and gets into a strong throwing position. He needs to continue his agility/speed drills to help his first step on the ball. At the plate, Dylan has a balanced stance with quick hands and drives his back hip into the ball. If he continues to get his hands into the drive position he will be able to attack the inside part of the ball and get extension through the zone. On the mound, Dylan stays balanced over the rubber, has good tempo in his delivery, and finishes over the front side. Developing his secondary pitches will increase his overall future on the mound. Dylan is a quiet player and worked hard every day at camp. He continues to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

10/02/2016 - Interactive Video Program - Hightstown, NJ Dylan is a OF/LHP who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Dylan is very agile covering ground and he presents his hands to field the ball softly. He has a clean exchange to throw and keeps his throws consistently accurate to his target. At the plate, Dylan sets up in a square, athletic stance and takes a short, square stride to the ball. He is smooth getting back into his load and comes through the zone well with his lower half. He takes a direct, on-plane swing path which leads to solid line drives. On the mound, Dylan shows a three pitch mix with his fastball sitting from 59-63 mph with some arm side run. Curveball ranges from 51-53 mph with 1-7 break. Slider sits form 57-58 mph. Overall abilities will improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
