07/26/2019 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 14-18) Dylan is a coachable 2B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the National World Series at Pirate City. In the field, Dylan takes a good first step and shows active footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft, sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and shows good double play feeds. Taking less steps to throw can help Dylan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance with comfortable hands. He is fluid getting into a simple load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with good extension, leading to consistent contact to all fields. Dylan can improve as a hitter by taking a shorter stride. Overall, Dylan is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

04/07/2019 - College PREP - Plano (DFW), TX Dylan is a SS prospect who will graduate in 2021. In the field, Dylan shows active footwork and takes good angles to the ball. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and keeps his throws on-line to his target. Getting rid of the ball quicker can help Dylan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid contact and gap to gap pop. Dylan can improve as a hitter by consistently maintaining center balance. With two more years to develop, Dylan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
