01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Dylan continues to show as a prospect on the diamond. Behind the dish, he presents a soft/sure mitt showing great pocket awareness sticking pitches. Quick lateral movements allow him to center/deaden pitches in the dirt off of a soft chest. Runners will not want to test his cannon of arm with impressive pop times of 2.19. Offensively, he continues to shine through an athletic setup. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel accuracy through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side.

01/18/2019 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. Behind the plate, pop times have improved as he threw his lowest time to date at 2.37 with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss. He shows a solid setup and presents a low target. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to get body down sooner. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. He has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 12-14) Dylan is an athletic and talented 2022 Catching prospect that is eager to learn and made several adjustments throughout the week at Vero Beach. Behind the dish, he leads with his glove and controls balls in the dirt with his chest. He needs to continue to start in a balanced primary/secondary stance and improve his flexibility. He needs to present a low target and work behind the ball when receiving. He has a quick exchange and creates momentum in his lower half when throwing to the bases. At the plate, Dylan starts in a squared stance, loads his hands back into the drive position, and stays balanced through contact. He needs to continue to create backside rotation and attack the inside part of the ball. Dylan is a hard worker and will continue to improve with experience. We hope to see his progress in the future.

11/09/2017 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 12-14) Dylan is an athletic built C/OF prospect who has a versatile skill set. As a right-handed hitter, Dylan has a tall setup with his weight on his toes. He has a short stride and partially uses his lower half throughout his swing. Dylan has a direct swing path with some bat speed producing square contact. He is a line drive type hitter who shows pop to the pull side. Behind the plate, Dylan plays the position with athleticism. He presents an effective target and receives the ball with a stiff glove. Dylan has a long exchange leading into a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. His throws are accurate down to 2B. Overall, Dylan is a leader who plays the game hard and can advance his skills with development.

09/17/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Boise, ID Dylan is a C/OF who will graduate in 2022. Defensively in the OF, he hustles hard laterally as he tracks down hard-hit fly balls. He tries to work behind and play through the ball towards his target. Behind the plate, he sticks pitches with a soft mitt. He shows quick footwork when he blocks and recovers and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. With the stick, Dylan displays a square setup and gets back into a good load. He takes aggressive hacks through the zone and looks to drive pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Outfield
1. Lateral range
2. Get behind on fly balls
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Catching
1. Low setup
2. Quick footwork
3. Center to block
Offense
1. Develop rhythm
2. Improve bat speed
3. Level out swing path

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
