08/21/2016 - College PREP - Dickinson, ND Dylan is a lanky RHP/SS who has a promising future on the diamond. At SS, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are aggressive as he moves well laterally, flashing range in the MIF. Glove action is soft / sure as he presents on time. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a squared / balanced setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 74-77 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with late break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run and sink. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Getting on a long toss program will help to increase arm strength which will aid in his development on the mound. Dylan has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
