12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Dylan is an OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. In the OF, Dylan gets into an athletic position and fields the ball out in front of his body with soft hands. He gains momentum well on his throws, working to keep them accurate to his target. Long tossing to build up his arm strength can help Dylan improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He works to barrel up the baseball and produces solid line drives. Dylan can improve as a hitter by getting his stride foot down sooner. Overall, Dylan is a developing prospect who has the potential to further progress his skills on the field.

05/25/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Salt Lake City, UT Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now an above average runner at 7.21. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He needs to work to get behind balls more to play through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Dylan is a lean OF who will graduate in 2021. In the OF, he utilizes his athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes / angles and utilizes two hands well through the fielding process. He works to get behind balls playing through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a crouched setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 3 years to further develop, Dylan has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
