06/27/2023 - National Showcase - Clarksburg, WV Dylan is an excellent RHP/1B prospect in the 2025 class. In the field, his 6’3/190 frame plays the position well. Has great footwork on his fielding techniques and around the bag. He moves with agility and his pocket has feel. Gains a low and athletic fielding position and displays soft hands. He redirects the ball with loose and clean actions while using a ¾ slot. Arm plays at 87 and is accurate to his targets. On the mound, he competes with solid tempo and works down the hill. His FB topped at 83 and his cutter ranged from 71-2. Both had feel in the zone. His CB shaped well at 11-5 and provided depth at 62-4. His split is developing and showed promising sink with FB arm speed. At the plate, he stays tall and shows advanced balance and timing. He is aggressive and attacks the baseball with strong barrel whip (88 exit velo). Has power to the gaps and creates hard contact. Scouts feel his swing is very polished. Overall, there are many features to Dylans’s game and he is a projectable prospect with more upside.

11/13/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Pittsburgh, PA Dylan is a 1B/RHP prospect who will graduate in 2025. Tall frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. At 1B, he starts with fluid/active feet and a good prep step. Takes aggressive angles to baseball, with ability to pick out hops, and fields from a low fielding position. A long arm stroke into a high 3/4 release point, with ability to turn glove side, and an arm velocity on his throws to second base up to 86mph. On the mound, he has long levers and a projectible frame. Works with good tempo and showed ability to change planes. Throws a FB that sits 79-82mph with plus command, an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, and a splitter with good tailing action in zone. A right-handed hitter, he starts with an athletic and square stance. He gets his hands separated, with smooth timing in his swing, and has an explosive barrel. A short barrel path enables him to hit balls hard to the pull side with a bat exit velocity up to 84mph. With 3 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Dylan having a bright future on the baseball diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
