08/04/2016 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training at Historic Dodgertown Dylan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. He did show on the mound for the first time. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls and plays through with his body. Presenting hands more out front will aid in improving defensive abilities. Increasing foot quickness will aid in improving range. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a balanced setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact with power showing best to the pull side. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 45-46 mph. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. Overall, Dylan has nice upside with time and room to continue to progress his game.

05/24/2014 - Little League® Experience Dylan is a good young player with good awareness and passion for the game. Behind the plate he keeps the ball in front fairly well but needs to continue to improve his arm strength and mechanics behind the plate that will come as he matures and grows. At the plate, Dylan keeps his head still and sees his contact points and hits well to his pull side. He needs to keep his hands inside the ball and use his lower half more to finish his hips through contact.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
