08/14/2016 - College PREP - Kapolei (Honolulu), HI Dylan is a 2018 R/R Catcher with a stocky thick frame (5'11 190lbs). In the box this aggressive right handed hitter sits in an athletic stance and shows on time separation into a strong launch position. While he maintains good balance, his in swing rhythm allows Dylan to square up the baseball. Defensively, he uses lower ½ well as he gains ground to 2B with a short arm stroke and good accuracy. Dylan has soft hands with good glove presentation as he works underneath the ball and sways to handle the pitches on the edges. Overall, Dylan is entering his junior season with time to continue to excel on the field and be a 2018 catcher to follow.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.
