07/16/2024 - National Showcase - Sioux Falls, SD Dylan has a tall frame and athletic build, which enhances his overall performance both behind the plate and in the outfield. He has an athletic setup behind the plate, showcasing a solid ability to stick pitches and present a consistent target. Has firm hands with a quick release, achieving a best pop time of 2.18 seconds. Shows ability to block pitches with a good spine angle, which aids in effective ball control and framing. In the outfield, Dylan shows quick feet and effective pre-pitch routine allow for swift reactions and efficient movement. He fields from a low position with quick transfer off of his left foot. With arm velocity reaching up to 79 mph, his throws are precise and strong, adding a defensive edge. A right-handed hitter, he showed a disciplined approach with the knob of the bat getting to the catcher, indicating good bat control. Hits into a firm frontside and demonstrates explosive bat speed, resulting in hard-hit line drives to all fields. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
