04/28/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Phoenix, AZ Dylan is a tall C/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. Behind the plate, Dylan shows active footwork and centers the ball when blocking. He presents a good target and receives with soft hands. He makes a clean exchange and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Sitting in a lower stance can help Dylan improve as a C. In the OF, Dylan fields in a low position and works to make accurate throws to his target. Dylan can improve as an OF by presenting his hands to the ball sooner. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a tall stance and takes his stride on time. He is smooth getting into his load and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid line drives. Taking a square stride towards the pitcher can help Dylan improve as a pitcher. With three more years to develop, Dylan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

11/08/2018 - Baseball Factory Select Training & Competition in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Dylan continues to show steady progress in his baseball abilities. Behind the plate, pop times showed in the 2.34 range with accuracy on his throws. Feet are active working in line through a clean transfer / exchange. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program and works to get rid of the baseball quicker. Glove action is soft as he sticks balls well in the zone. He uses his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach and utilizes his lower half well with power showing best to the pull side. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

09/23/2017 - FDI Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend (12-14) Dylan is a coachable player who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and maintains center balance. He is smooth getting back into his load and finishes with a firm front side in his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives to the gaps. Dylan can improve as a hitter by taking a shorter stride. With five more years to develop, Dylan has the time and potential to further progress his skills at the plate.

06/20/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Bridgeport, CT Dylan is an OF/RHP who will graduate in 2022. Defensively in the OF, he's aggressive as he attacks the GB. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes all the routine plays. On the mound, this righty gathers over the rubber with a 3-pitch mix. He keeps his eyes on target, delivers from a hi 3/4 arm slot and works in line towards home plate. With the bat, Dylan shows a square setup in the box. He swings on a short path through the zone and drives pitches with pop to his pull side. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Defense
1. Lateral quickness
2. Develop soft hands
3. Arm strength (long toss)
Pitching
1. Be a strike thrower
2. Loosen arm action
3. Stronger frontside
Offense
1. Develop a load
2. Improve bat speed
3. Lower 1/2 drive

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
