08/02/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Dyllon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. On the mound, arm strength continues to improve as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 79-81 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with late/sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays smooth actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes/angles in tracking down balls. He reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, power potential has improved through an open/athletic setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

07/23/2016 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Dyllon continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. On the bump, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date, topping out at 78 mph. Fastball shows good arm side run. Changeup is best off speed pitch as he maintains arm speed with arm side run. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Getting on a long toss program to develop more arm strength will aid in improving abilities on the mound. In the OF, he utilizes his quick, athletic feet well in tracking down balls through proper routes and angles. He reads balls well off the bat and covers a lot of ground, displaying range. Working to get behind balls to play through will aid in improving defensive grade. At the plate, hitting potential has improved as well through an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power numbers will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is willing to make adjustments to be the best player he can be. A projectable LHP - Dyllon has a lot of potential with time and room to progress his game.

06/26/2016 - College PREP - Troy (Albany), NY Dyllon is a L/L 2-way player as a LHP/OF. On the mound, this lefty has a 3-pitch mix (FB, CB, CH) coming from a 3/4 arm slot. He has smooth separation and drives downhill off of the rubber toward the plate. FB tops out at 76 mph while showing good run. Breaking ball has 2/8 shape with good action. Changeup has slight cut as he works to keep it down. Gathering in a more controlled balance point along with finishing with more extension on his follow through will help to improve effectiveness on the mound. In the OF, Dyllon hustles to his right and left to track down fly-balls. He secures the ball with 2-hands and gets rid of it quickly, working in-line toward his target. At the plate, this lefty has a square setup and waits for his pitch. He fires the barrel on a direct path and stays behind and through it. Getting loaded sooner along with engaging more of his lower 1/2 will both help to increase power at the plate. A 2019 grad - Dyllon has tools with still a lot of time to develop.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
