12/27/2019 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Easton is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic. In the field, Easton takes a good first step and shows active footwork. He gets into an athletic position and fields with a relaxed glove. He gains momentum well on his throws and keeps them accurate through his target. Consistently being controlled approaching the ball can help Easton improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance and takes a controlled stride. He is gets into his load on time and drives through well with his lower half. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent line drives. Easton can improve as a hitter by taking a shorter stride. Overall, Easton is a solid prospect who has the potential to further develop his skills on the field.

07/16/2019 - National Tryout Plus - Highland Park (DFW), TX Easton continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. In the OF, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays smooth / fluid actions. He takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate, flashing carry but he will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a closed setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Power will continue to improve as he works to utilize his lower half more aggressively.

01/18/2019 - Baseball Factory Spring Training in Arizona (Ages 14-18) Easton continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, defensive abilities have improved as he displays fluid / athletic actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he continues to improve his foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to continue to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a crouched, athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through a level swing path. He shows a feel for the barrel through a line drive approach and stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields. At the event, he was 3 for 8. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.

11/11/2018 - College PREP - Midland, TX Easton is a thin and athletic 2022 OF prospect. In the OF, Easton is on time with his prep step, fields the ball in an athletic position, and is aggressive on ground balls. He has a clean exchange and works behind fly balls. At the plate, Easton starts in a tall and open stance. He loads his hands back into the drive position, keeps a quiet head, and has a middle approach. He's a contact hitter and hits to all fields. Easton will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
