03/10/2019 - College PREP - Bel Air (Baltimore), MD Eddie is a SS prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. At SS, Eddie shows active footwork and fields in an athletic position. He makes a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Eddie improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a short stride. He is smooth getting into his load and takes a short swing, leading to solid contact. Eddie can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. With two more years to develop, Eddie has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/23/2017 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (Ages 12-14) Eddie continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities with a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date. At the plate he shows an athletic setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach. At 3B, he displays smooth / clean actions. Feet are aggressive in attacking balls but needs to play through more with his body. Glove action is soft / clean but needs to present more out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

04/23/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Plymouth Meeting (Philadelphia), PA Eddie is a 3B who will graduate in 2021. Defensively at 3B, he takes solid angles around the ball and plays with soft hands. He's smooth to his backhand side and comes up with a clean exchange to throw. With the bat, he displays a balanced setup with smooth rhythm to load. He rips his lower 1/2 through and drives pitches with pop to his pull side. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
