12/27/2023 - Baseball Factory Christmas Camp & Tournament at Pirate City - Session 2 Edgardo is a 2024 3B who showcased his skills during the BF Christmas Camp and Tournament at Pirate City. At 3B he has a good frame with athletic actions. Has a 2-hand exchange as he made throws to first base from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 74mph. At the plate he hits from an upright and even stance with high hands. He shows a strong barrel with some pull side pop. During live game action he made consistent contact and reached base 2 times with a single and was hit by a pitch. He also added an RBI. We look forward to seeing him at another event in the near future.

12/10/2023 - National Showcase - Lynwood (Chicago), IL Edgardo is a talented 3B in the 2024 class. In the field, he shows an athletic frame and centers his body to the baseball. He likes to play through the baseball with controlled movements and can redirect with clean actions. Arm action is a high 3qtr. slot and his feeds are on-line at 74 velo. Working to stay low to the ground will assist his leg drive and create more momentum on his throws. At the plate, he has a balanced approach and uses a short stride to stay square to the dish. His timing is smooth and he keeps a quiet head. Likes to use the middle of the field and shows excellent bat to ball skills. Overall, Edgardo is a solid infield prospect in the 2024 class and should have a great final HS season.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
