12/27/2018 - Under Armour Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic (Ages 14-18) Eduardo is a coachable OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Under Armour Recruiting Classic. In the field, Eduardo shows active footwork and works through the ball well. He gets into position on time and fields the ball out in front of his body with sure hands. He throws from a high 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Making a quicker exchange can help Eduardo improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a crouched stance with comfortable hands. He works to barrel up the baseball and sprays to all fields. Eduardo can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. With two more years to develop, Eduardo has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

07/09/2018 - California Select Training & Competition - Session 2 (Ages 14-18) Eduardo is a lean, athletic OF who has a promising future on the diamond. Foot speed is well above average as indicated by his 60 time of 7.16. In the OF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth clean actions. He utilizes his quick / athletic feet well in taking proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. Range is a plus as he reads balls well off the bat and works to get behind balls to play through with momentum to his target. Throws are accurate with carry but will benefit by benefiting by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows a tall setup. Hands are loose and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable. With 3 years to further develop, Eduardo has potential with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
