01/23/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Delray Beach, FL Edward is a solid class of 2023 SS/3B. He shows off above average athleticism and a very projectable baseball frame. In the field, Edward shows a quick first step and ability to throw from multiple arm angles. He compliments his glove with a strong arm that was clocked at 86 mph on the day. At the plate, he showed a good load and strong hands with balance throughout his whole swing. Edward has an advanced gap-to-gap approach with plus power potential that showed consistent 90+ MPH exit velocity. His smooth soft hands, athletic actions, and plus arm in the infield make him a sought after shortstop prospect for the collegiate level.

01/14/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL) Edward is a 2023 INF prospect who showed offensive and defensive upgrades during his time at the Pre-Season AA. He is an athletic SS with a high ceiling. Defensive skills are sound, footwork is quick, and hands are soft. Edward makes plays, covers ground, and throws accurately with momentum across the diamond. Offensively, Edward has an open stance, good balance, and plus bat speed. He makes hard/level contact, has power in his stick, and he uses his lower body well.

02/28/2021 - All-In Membership - Davie, FL Edward is an athletic RHH MIF that shows as a top prospect on the diamond. At the plate, hands are quick as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he takes a quick first step and has plus lateral range. He creates angles around the GB with fluid actions. DP turns are quick with zip on his throws. Defensive abilities are excellent as he shows big play potential. Edward has a ton of upside and possesses the skill set that will play at a very high level.

09/23/2020 - Arizona Sophomore Fall Classic Edward is a coachable MIF prospect who showed well during the Arizona Fall Classic. In the field, Edward shows smooth footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic position and fields with soft hands. His exchange is clean and he gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a controlled stride. He gets his hands activated on time and hits against a strong front side. He takes a level swing with decent bat speed, leading to consistent contact and line drives. Overall, Edward is a talented prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Edward continues to show improvements on the diamond. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.28 runner. At SS, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry (80 mph velocity) but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, hitting abilities are now solid through a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach.

01/17/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Edward continues to impress every time he comes out and Pre-Season Rookie All-American was no different. On the infield Edward shows athletic and smooth actions as he moves to the ball getting a +1st step showing agile range to the glove and hand side. He fields the ball low and out front showing smooth and confident hands showing a quick and clean exchange. Edwards gets the ball out quick and delivers it around the diamond with accuracy and life. At the plate, he sets up in an open stance with comfortable hands showing a smooth and controlled rhythm as he gets into his load. Edwards swing is smooth and fluid showing +barrel control with a solid line drive approach working the ball to all fields. Edward shows athleticism and maturity on the field beyond his age, and has continued to improve.

05/12/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Tampa, FL Edward showed improvements in all areas of his game. 60 time lowered to 7.69, radar increased to 78 MPH, as well as defensive and offensive upgrades. At SS, Edward has quick/fluid feet, agile movements, and he fields low and athletically. He has soft hands, he fields aggressively, and he throws with accuracy and carry across the diamond. In the OF, Edward has active feet, he reads the ball well off the bat, and takes good angles. He follows his throws and delivers the ball with carry to his cut off man. Offensively, Edward improved hitting and power grades to 40 and 42. He stands in the box athletically, he loads well, and swings in good rhythm. Edward has fast bat speed, an aggressive swing, and he hits line drives.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Edward continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. He improved his foot speed as he ran his best 60 time to date. At 2B, he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls up. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an athletic setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields. Barrel accuracy is a plus and he utilizes his lower half well through a line drive approach. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be.

12/20/2018 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Edward is a coachable 2B/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during his time at the Winter Classic. In the field, Edward shows smooth, efficient footwork and is agile moving to the ball. He gets into an athletic stance and fields the ball out in front with sure hands. He makes a clean exchange and gets rid of the ball quickly, keeping his throws accurate to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in an athletic stance and takes a short stride. He gets his hands activated on time and remains centered with his lower half. He takes a level swing with fast bat speed which leads to consistent contact and line drives. With four more years to develop, Edward has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

11/11/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Davie, FL Edward showed nice all around improvements during his last workout with The Factory. He ran his best 60 time to date at 8.05 seconds and increased radar velocity to 71 MPH. At SS, Edward has quick/active feet, agile movements, and his hands are soft. He plays through well, has a quick/clean exchange, and throws with accuracy to his target. In the OF, Edward reads the ball well off the bat, he takes good angles, and follows his throws. He has a long/loose arm circle with carry to his cut off man. At the plate, Edward has an open stance, good balance, and a rhythmic swing. He has a fast/short barrel through the ball and uses his lower body. Edward can continue to improve with work on the following.

07/17/2018 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Edward is a versatile SS/OF prospect who works hard and is a great teammate. In the field, Edward plays with an aggressive approach and attacks the baseball. He has effective footwork and covers good ground. Edward presents his glove and fields the ball in a low, athletic position. He has a clean exchange leading into a loose arm action throwing from an over the top arm slot. His throws are accurate with good strength across the diamond. As a right-handed hitter, Edward has a balanced setup with a firm front side. He has a fluid rhythm with a good load and square stride as he uses his lower half throughout his swing. Edward has a short, direct swing path with a good approach. He is a contact type hitter who has the ability to use all fields. Overall, Edward has the skill and approach on both sides of the ball to give him a bright future on the diamond.

06/04/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Jupiter, FL Edward is a young, 2-way player who plays SS and OF. In the INF, Edward has quick/fluid feet, agile movements, and he fields in an athletic position. He has good pre-pitch actions, takes proper angles to the ball, and throws with accuracy from a short arm circle to his target. In the OF, Edward attacks the ball aggressively, and he takes proper routes to the ball, and has a clean exchange with accuracy to his target. Offensively, Edward has an athletic set-up, a square stride, and good balance. He swings in good rhythm and on-plane, and makes consistent contact. Edward can improve overall skills with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
