07/07/2020 - 2020 Baseball Factory's National West Showcase Eldridge is one of the most talented 2-way prospects in the country. He has loud tools - and the ability to use them, beginning with his 100 mph exit velocity, 93 mph raw arm strength and a 6.89 time in the 60. His swing is loose and easy with a good move through contact and lots of barrel accuracy. There is present pull-side power that will continue to show on a more consistent basis. He plays low at 3B and his athleticism shows in his first step and lateral range. On the mound, Eldridge flashed an outstanding 3-pitch mix with an upper 80s fastball, a curve with depth and bite and a plus change that he turns over and throws with excellent arm speed. This is a legit prospect both ways with a ton of upside.

11/01/2019 - 2019 UA Best of the West Participant Big and physical frame. Controlled and repeatable delivery. Fastball 84-87mph. Breaking ball 69-72mph. Very projectable.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
