07/01/2013 - College PREP - Charleston, WV
Eli will graduate in 2015 and tried out as a SS in Charleston, WV. He showed a controlled approach to the ball and an ability to make routine plays. He has active feet and long, loose arm action. He should be more aggressive with his glove and play through the ball. Playing more long toss will help with Eli's arm strength and accuracy. At the plate, his setup is athletic, crouched and weight is centered. He has a level swing path and makes consistent contact while taking an opposite field approach to the ball. He should keep his hands in a stronger position throughout rotation to allow for a shorter swing and help with his timing.
