08/03/2015 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 Elijah is a 6'/165 lbs L/L OF that played very strongly at the Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City. Offensively, he had strong hit ability with his direct barrel path and and worked with a line-drive approach. He showed good extension out over the front side and had 3 singles and a double in his AB's. In the OF, he had a soft/sure glove to make plays and took good angles to the baseball. He worked into position to throw with his body behind him for carry to his target. More lower half involvement to throw and a more consistent tempo with the exchange and release are key to further development. All in all - Elijah was a confident young player with excellent instincts and work habits.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
