07/10/2023 - National Showcase - Bowie, MD Elliot continues to shine with his baseball abilities. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He works to get behind balls but needs to play through with momentum to his target. At the plate, he shows a squared setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive swing path with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a 73-79 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with sinking action. Slider is harder with tight spin. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to improve as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

10/23/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bowie, MD Eliot is a lean (6ft/170) RHP in the 2023 class. On the mound, he gathers over the mound well with his body weight. He generates excellent leg drive and gains extension down the slope of the mound. He is compact and his motion is repeatable. He operates with a 4-pitch mix from an over-the-top slot. He locates his FB to both sides of the plate and sat 74. His CB sat 58-59 with 11/5 shape. His CH sat 58-60 and maintaining his FB arm speed will offer the pitch further deception. He incorporates a forkball on occasion to his repertoire. It is deceptive with movement at 63-4. In the batters box, he begins with a squared stance and controls his weight distribution well. Has a direct barrel path with a strong top hand. Displays solid contact with extension. Overall, Eliot continues to improve with each BF showing.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program Eliot is an intriguing 2023 two-way prospect who combines athleticism and upside to his game. A strong frame with athletic actions and strength he shows potential on both sides of the game. On the mound he shows a repeatable delivery with an ability to control multiple pitches that all show current performance and show projection. His ability to mix pitches and athletic delivery and strong frame will give him the ability to potential start or relieve at the college level. At the plate he uses a balanced and short RH stroke with a feel for the barrel and strength in his swing to generate exit velocities in the mid to upper 80 MPH range. His athleticism shows up in an upper 70 MPH to low 80 MPH raw arm strength and 7.1 60 yard dash. Eliot is an intriguing prospect as a college recruit with versatility.

03/20/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Bowie, MD Eliot is a RHP/3B in the class of 2023 out of Columbia, MD. At 3B, he works hard to create angles to the ball to give himself the best opportunity to catch the right hop. He makes the routine play but could work to improve he mobility and one handed glove work to catch the ball cleaner in the infield. As a hitter, he uses a crouchy stance with a square stride to work to a balance launching position. From there, he pushes to a firm front side throughout the swing with quick hands and a direct bat path. The balljumps off his bat from gap to gap. On the mound, he throws a 3 pitch mix of fastball with run (69mph), a curveball with 11/5 break and a change up that has occasional sink arm side. Eliot is a physical prospect with lots of potential if he continues to fine tune his game and athleticism.

08/21/2021 - Summer Pro Training Experience - MD (HS) Eliot is a coachable 3B/PRHP prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Summer Pro Training event. In the field, Eliot takes good angles to the ball and finishes plays well. He throws from a 3/4 arm angle and makes accurate throws across the diamond. On the mound, Eliot showcases a 3 pitch mix and works through his target. Eliot will see a big jump in velocity as he continues to long toss and work on using his lower half. At the plate, Eliot sets up in an athletic stance and takes a square stride. He tries to swing on plane and has a nice two handed finish. Overall, Eliot is a solid prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

06/28/2021 - National Evaluation and Tryout - Bowie, MD Eliot is a lean RHP/3B who will graduate in 2023. At 3B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is firm and presents out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases his foot quickness. At the plate, he shows a tall, open setup. Hands are quick (81 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He makes consistent contact through a line drive approach with power showing best to the pull side. On the mound, he gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a loose arm and extends through on his release, staying inline towards the plate. He shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 65 mph. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He throws a knuckle ball that is a pitch still in development. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. With 2 years to further develop, Eliot has potential with time and room to progress his game.

06/24/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Columbia, MD Eliot is a young (2023 grad) 2-way player as a RHP/SS. On the mound, this righty fires a FB and CH from a high 3/4 arm slot. He gets smooth separation, works in-line toward the dish and fires strikes around the zone. FB ranges from 58-61 mph while changeup shows slight sink. He gets good extension and finishes well. At SS, Eliot hustles into a square fielding position tracking the GB into his mitt. He has a clean exchange and works in-line toward 1B. As a hitter, this righty displays a crouched stance with centered balance. He takes an aggressive hack and looks to drive the middle of the field. Continuing to work on the following will help to improve his all-around skill-set on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
