08/02/2018 - Baseball Factory Pro Select Training & Tournament at Historic Dodgertown (Ages 14-18) Eliot continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved though a tall setup. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he displays proper footwork around as he works around and squares balls up. Glove action is soft / sure but needs to present more out front. Feet are aggressive as he attacks balls through a low approach. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and is a solid team player.

05/20/2018 - College PREP - Gambrills, MD Eliot is a lean, athletic 3B who will graduate in 2019. At 3B, he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active but needs to attack and play through balls more with his body. Hands are clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he shows an open setup. Hands are loose and work through an aggressive approach. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach. Eliot has abilities with time and room to progress his game.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
