02/18/2024 - National Showcase - Keizer (Salem), OR Emmett is next level 5 ft 10/170 switch hitting C/SS in the 2025 class. He continues to develop his game and keeps impressing scouts with his athletic actions. Behind the plate, his strong arm stands out. Registered 89 velo and a 1.93 pop with pinpoint accuracy. As a defender, he creates a strong target and keeps his eyes behind the baseball. The ball stick to the pocket and he gains extension through the pitch. Shows excellent blocking skills and absorbs the ball well. On the dirt, he shows equal skills. He plays with aggressive actions while staying under control. He gains great reads off the bat and creates positive angles. Has plus range and can really protect the baseball. At the plate, he shows plus power and bat speed (L-92, R-90) from an on-plane swing. Bat control is superior from the right side and he shows he can use the whole field. The left side shows more pull side power. Both sides are equally impressive. Overall, Emmett is an exceptional talent and will make a college program better when he steps on campus.

12/27/2022 - Baseball Factory Recruiting Classic Emmett is a switch-hitting C/IF in the 2025 class and plays above grade level. Scouts enjoyed his enthusiasm, body language and athletic actions during the Recruiting Classic. Behind the plate, he has a relaxed feel. He has a soft glove and presents a solid target. His exchanges are clean and uses a short high ¾ release to produce life on his throws (1.97 pop). In the field, he has an athletic ready position and a quick 1st step. He has a quick release and moves well in his attack angles. Solid actions around the bag. At the plate, he is balanced from both sides. His swing is on plane and he has line drive power to both gaps. Showed well in games (5 hits) and flashed power with a HR and 2B. Overall, Emmett is a 2025 player to keep a close eye on.

10/26/2022 - Baseball Factory Best of The West - Upperclass Emmett is a 2025 C/Inf. who showcased his skills during the Best of the West Tournament. Behind the dish, he does a good job of replacing his feet and works with good direction towards second base. Presents a good target and tracks pitches well with an easy sway and athletic actions. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 89mph and a best pop time of 2.03 seconds. Made accurate throws on the bag with good carry. He centers the ball and has a good spine angle on his blocks. From both sides of the plate, he hits from a tall and open stance with comfortable hands. Has a controlled stride and gets his front foot down on-time. Showed good barrel control as he hit hard line drives into both gaps with a bat exit velocity up to 83mph. In live game action, he reached base 7 times with 3 singles, 2 walks, and reached base twice on errors. He added 3 stolen bases and 2 RBI's. With 2 years of continued growth and development, we foresee Emmett making huge strides on the baseball field.

07/10/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Sacramento, CA Emmett is a top flight switch hitting prospect in the 2025 class. He worked out for scouts behind the dish and on the mound and scouts came away impressed. Behind the plate, he impressed with his 2.00 pop/89 velo and his ability to throw the top of the baseball with advanced accuracy. His takeaways are short and his lead foot is quick to allow him to get the ball in the air. Advanced receiver and can maintain the strike zone by sticking pitches in all parts of the zone. Angles his body well on blocks and is quick to recover. Can get high at times and working to keep his hips under the baseball while controlling the running game can put him into sub 2.0 category very soon. On the mound, he operates with a 3-pitch mix for strikes. His FB topped at 80 with tailing actions. His CB sat 66-7 with 11/5 shape and late breaking action for swing and miss ability. His CH proves to be his best pitch with running action and deception )68-9) and FB arm speed. He can drift towards the plate at times and working to stay over the rubber and directional will provide added velo. At the plate, he can generate line drive power from both sides of the plate. Uses his hips well and generates bat speed for loud contact. His timing can be choppy and as he matures as a hitter, he can quiet his body and feet down to unlock major power potential. Overall, there is a lot to like about Emmett’s game and the future is extremely bright for this prospect.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
