09/19/2021 - All-In Membership - San Bernardino, CA Eric is a C/OF prospect who will graduate in 2023. Medium frame athletic build with strength present and room to add throughout. At C, he has an easy sit, with quick/fluid feet, and good agility. Quick/athletic actions as he gains ground to second base. Works thumb under baseball keeping balls in the strike zone. Clean transfer, with short/quick arm action, and a high 3/4 release point. He made on-line throws to second base, with a quick release, and arm velocity up to 80mph and a best pop time of 2.12 seconds. Good lateral movement and was quick to his feet on block and recover drill. In the OF, plays with good energy and gets good reads off bat. Made accurate/on-line throws through the cutoff man. A right-handed hitter, he hits from an athletic and open stance. He starts with a short/square stride, with a good hand load, and an all fields approach. Short barrel path enables him to spray balls to all fields with a bat exit velocity up to 81mph during BP. With 2 more years of growth and development, we foresee Eric having a bright future on the baseball field.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
