01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Eric continues to show as a prospect with improvements in his baseball abilities at the Pre-season All American event. Foot speed has improved as he ran his best 60 time to date, now a 7.35 runner. At 3B, defensive abilities have improved as he shows smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks balls and plays through with his body, gaining ground. Hands are clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. At the plate, hitting / power potential is now excellent through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (88 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through an aggressive hip turn. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 81-84 mph with tailing action. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is well above average as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Eric will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities, possibly as a two-way player.
