Offensively, this righty gets back into a loaded position and delivers the barrel on a short/quick stroke. He gets the bat through the zone with plus bat speed and creates good extension through contact. He uses his lower 1/2 and drives the ball to all parts of the field. Defensively, Carlson presents his glove working to field the ball out in front of his body. He fields the ball smoothly and has the ability to throw from multiple arm-angles. Eric is a talented player who will make an impact on the diamond this upcoming season.
