10/17/2021 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Grapevine (DFW), TX Eric continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. At 3B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays smooth / fluid actions. Feet are active as he attacks ball and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He moves well laterally and covers a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (83 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine with outstanding hitting / power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with gap to gap pop. On the mound, fastball shows a range of 76-77 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with downward break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with tailing action. Control is solid as he throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (TX) Eric is a skilled/versatile (RHP/3B) who showed well at the Pre-Season All-America Tournament. On the mound, this RHP pounds the zone with a FB/CB mix coming from a high 3/4 arm slot and quick arm action. He works to get ahead in the count, throwing 1st pitch strikes. FB tops out at 79 mph with late arm-side run which gives hitters a tough time trying to square up. He compliments his FB with a 11/5 CB which he can throw for strikes in any count. At 3B, he has active footwork and works into a square/athletic fielding position. He tracks GB's into a soft mitt and funnels to a clean exchange to throw. With the bat, this righty shows an open stance with rhythm and active hands to load. He is a line-drive machine, connecting and creating good backspin, spraying the ball to all parts of the field. He has a good eye for the zone (proven my drawing 3 walks in 5 AB's). Eric is a solid 2-way prospect who has upside and the ability to make things happen in a variety of ways on the diamond.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
