06/25/2013 - Interactive Video Program - Bellevue (Seattle), WA Eric is a tall, 2-way player who pitches and catches. On the mound, Eric has a short / quick arm, a controlled balance point, and good glove side lead. He has good direction toward home, works on a downhill plane, and competes in the zone. Behind the plate, Eric has playable hands and feet, he gains ground, and throws with a short arm with average strength to 2nd base. At the plate, Eric has a square set-up, good balance, and fast bat speed. He loads properly, gets his lower 1/2 through, and has some pop in his bat. Abilities can improve with work on the following.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
