05/19/2024 - All-In National Showcase - York, PA Erick is a SS/RHP in the 2025 graduating class. He continues to show improvement in his skillset. He works from right to left and has smooth actions. Fields from a low fielding position, with ability to pick out hops, and hands work out front. Shows good carry on his accurate throws to first base. On the mound he works with good tempo and breaks his hands on-time. Has a quick arm stroke and has a controlled landing. He attacks hitters with a FB that sits 79-80mph with arm side run. He mixes in an 11/5 shaped breaking ball, a slider from the same window as CB, and a changeup that has arm side run. A switch-hitter, from the right side he hits from an athletic and open stance. He keeps his hands inside the ball and uses the whole field. From the left side, he hits from an athletic and square stance. Shows good barrel control with ability to square up baseballs to all fields. He showed better from the right side during his rounds of BP. Erick should have opportunities to play at the next level with continued development.

06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament Erick continues show as a top prospect with baseball abilities at the All-State event. At SS, defensive abilities are excellent as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (92 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate, he continues to show as a switch hitter with similar abilities from both sides. Hands are quick and work through an aggressive swing path. He works to stay inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing through an aggressive hip turn.

01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Erick is an athletic SS who showed as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pre-season All American event. At SS, defensive abilities are excellent as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is firm and presents well out front. He utilizes his foot quickness (6.94 60 time) in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (89 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he shows as a switch hitter with outstanding hitting / power potential from both sides. He has strength in his swing (86 mph exit velocity) and shows a feel for the barrel with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. With 2 years to further develop, Erick has a high skill set and will get looks from the collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
