Official Scouting Report

  • Class Rating
  • 3B/RHPPosition Projection

09/13/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Oklahoma City , OK Ethan is a skilled, athletic 2-way player (3B/RHP) who can make things happen in a variety of ways. Offensively, this righty shows a tall/open stance with centered balance. He takes a hack with + bat speed, connecting with pop and hitting line-drives to all parts of the field (exit velocity = 88 mph). Defensively, he has active pre-pitch footwork and works right to left in his approach to the GB picking out the hops. Hands are soft as he gathers well and has a quick/clean transfer to throw. Throws show strength & accuracy across the diamond (92 mph). On the mound, this RHP has a 3-pitch mix in which he fills up the zone with strikes. He works to a controlled balance point, has smooth separation and works in-line toward the dish. FB ranges from 78-80 mph as he works it in and out. Breaking ball shows to be best pitch with 11/5 shape and sharp/late break. Changeup is thrown with FB arm speed showing good sinking action. Avra is a talented 2-way prospect who has upside and should find success on the diamond.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
