04/14/2019 - College PREP - Fayetteville, AR Ethan is a strong OF who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF, he displays outstanding defensive abilities and utilizes his quick feet well in his lateral movement as he displays range. He works to get behind balls, playing through with momentum to his target. Throws display accuracy and on line zip (86 mph velocity) to his target. At the plate he continues shine, displaying well above average hitting/power potential through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (86 mph exit velocity) and work to and through a short/direct/level swing path, creating extension. He has strength in his swing and he works to keep hands inside the ball, utilizing all fields. With 2 years to further develop, Ethan has a ton of potential and will catch the eyes of collegiate coaches with his baseball abilities.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
