07/28/2023 - Baseball Factory National World Series at JRTC (MS) Ethan is a 2027 LHP/OF prospect from Milford, DE that recently showcased his skills at the National World Series at JRTC. In the OF, he does a good job of getting in an athletic position pre-pitch and shows off smooth footwork. He has a great first step and runs down balls in the outfield, working behind the baseball and presenting his hands out in front to make the play. He has a clean exchange and creates momentum with his throws to his targets. He makes accurate throws with a nice, loose arm action. He greatly improved his raw velo to 76 MPH. At the plate, he starts in an athletic, open stance with his hands high. He does a nice job of keeping his hands inside the baseball, and works hard to keep his lower half involved. He showed improvement throughout game action, developing balance and increasing his bat speed throughout his plate appearances. He reached base in 4 of 8 plate appearances with a double, single, walk and hit by pitch. On the mound, he throws from a high 3/4 slot and features a 2 pitch mix, showing signs of command with both. He has a good presence and feel for the position, working with good tempo. He does a good job of gathering his balance over the rubber with a relaxed knee lift, and he gets on-time, fluid separation. His arm action is quick, and he ran his FB up to 73 MPH. In 2 innings of game action, he allowed 1 hit and struck out 2. Overall, Ethan is an exciting prospect that we are excited to see more of as he continues to develop his baseball skills!
