12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Ethan is an athletic 3B in the 2022 class with great feel for the game. He shows great ability at the plate with intent to do damage. A simple load and controlled rhythm allow Ethan to track the ball deep into the zone hitting with pop (91 mph exit velo) toward the center of the field. He battles at the plate as he went 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk at the event. At 3B, he starts in an athletic setup on the balls of his feet. He displays a quick and clean exchange, releasing the ball from a 3/4 arm slot with zip/accuracy on his throws (80 mph). Ethan is a skilled prospect who will garner some college coach attention in this his junior year.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
