07/23/2015 - Factory Development Institute National Select Program Ethan is a 2-way player that projects on the bump. As a RHP, Ethan gathers himself, gets to a solid balance point and fires to the plate, working low in the zone. He was able to make in game adjustments, keeping hitters off balance. He needs to continue to work on polishing his secondary pitches which will aid in his development on the mound. Defensively, Ethan has a low approach to GBs and is confident in his fielding. Hands are out in front as works to get around it smoothly. He will see improvement in his fielding abilities by increasing his foot speed and range. As a RHH, Ethan hits from a square stance with a direct/level swing path. He has a simple, line-drive stroke that will produce a lot of runs. This 2017 grad should be eager to see how he performs in the upcoming years.
