05/21/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Redwood City (San Francisco/San Jose), CA Ethan is a SS/OF who will graduate in 2022. Defensively at SS, he takes active lateral routes and gets into a low/square fielding position. He attacks the GB, comes up with a clean exchange and makes accurate throws to his target. In the OF, he hustles hard as he tracks down fly balls. He tries to work behind and play through the ball towards his target. With the stick, Ethan is a line drive type hitter. He rips his lower 1/2, swings on a direct path through the zone and drives pitches back up through the middle of the field. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
