06/18/2021 - Baseball Factory All-State Tournament (HS) Evan continues to shine with his baseball abilities. At the plate, hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) as he squares the ball up consistently driving it on a line. Defensively, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Feet are active as he plays through with his body. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. Range will increase as he improves his foot quickness.

12/11/2020 - Baseball Factory Academic All-American Tournament Evan continues to show as a prospect on the field. At the plate is where he continue to show best through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop. At 1B, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean but needs to present more out front. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness.

09/04/2020 - HS All-Region Tournament Evan continues to shine on the diamond. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, power potential is now solid through an athletic setup. Hands are quick (82 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in swing and makes consistent hard contact with power showing best to the pull side. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently.

05/30/2020 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Lawrenceville (Atlanta), GA Evan continues to show improvements in his baseball abilities and has a promising future on the diamond. Defensively at 1B, defensive abilities have improved. He shows active prep with fluid actions. He works around the GB and through it as he gains ground toward his target. Footwork around the bag is solid and he is a quality receiver. Exchange is clean with accurate throws but will benefit by building more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he has fluid rhythm while getting good hand separation. Barrel is whipped through the zone (87 mph exit velocity) as he connects with strength. The ball jumps off of his barrel as he crushes it to the gaps. Power will continue to improve as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently through the swing.

12/14/2019 - Florida Regional Offensive Skills Weekend (Ages 14-18) Evan is an athletic and strong 2022 prospect that was very coachable. At the plate, Evan starts in an open stance, he loads his hands back into the drive position, and swings the bat with intent. He rotates his lower half and get to balance at contact. He makes consistent hard contact and shows gap to gap power. Evan needs to continue to improve pitch selection, attacking the inside part of the ball, and getting extension through contact. Evan is a hard worker and we hope to see him continue his progress.

01/18/2019 - 2019 Baseball Factory All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament Evan is a CIF prospect who showcased his skills at the All-America Pre-Season Rookie Tournament. In the field, Evan makes the routine plays and works to make accurate throws to his target. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with his hands held high. He gets his hands activated on time and takes a level swing with fast bat speed, leading to solid gap to gap pop. With three more years to develop, Evan has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

His power grades improved to 48, showing good bat speed, solid pop in his bat, and the ability to hit to all fields. He has good balance, he makes hard/consistent contact, and he can work the ball gap to gap. In the INF, Evan presents his glove well, he moves well laterally, and he fields in a low/square position. He has a clean exchange and an accurate arm to his target. Evan can play both 1B and 3B.

12/20/2017 - Baseball Factory Winter Classic - Session 1 (Ages 12-14) Evan is a tall and strong 2022 1B/3B prospect. At 1B, Evan has an active prep step, gets behind the ball, and makes the routine play. Continuing to stay low will help him pick balls out of the dirt. Presenting a low/early glove, and working from the ground up will keep Evan in a solid fielding position. At the plate, Evan starts in an athletic and crouched position. Evan is a patient hitter and but aggressive on the fastball. Keeping a quiet head will help him recognize pitches early. Attacking the inside part of the ball and using the backside will keep his barrel on plane. Evan is a hard worker and was very coachable during the week. He will improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
