01/13/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament Everett continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities at the Pre-season All American event. At SS, he displays smooth / athletic actions. Feet are active as he works around balls and plays through with momentum to his target. Glove action is clean and presents out front. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) to his target. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering ground. At the plate, hitting abilities have improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

09/04/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - San Francisco, CA Everett continues to show as a prospect with his baseball abilities. In the MIF, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. Glove action is soft / sure and presents out front. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. Throws are accurate with carry (85 mph velocity) across the diamond. At the plate, he continues to shine as he displays well above average hitting abilities with excel power potential through a tall setup. Hands are quick (93 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn.

Exclusive College Recruiting Program EJ is a loose athletic IF prospect who can play all over the dirt and provides a high impact offensive approach. Defensively, EJ show the potential to stick at SS with a quick first step, smooth footwork into the baseball, an internal clock and the arm strength to play and will continue to improve. The ball shows life and carry on his throws, he can throw off a 2-step, 4-step and on the run throwing pattern. Should he have to move off SS he can be an above average or potential plus defender at 2b or 3b where he has extensive experience playing. Offensively, it’s a balanced swing which uses his lower half well to generate bat speed and he gets the barrel in the zone early. His body control and hands allow him to adapt and stay through the hitting zone for an extended period of time allowing him to use the middle of the field for his power with enough feel to go line to line for contact. He is more hit than power, but there is enough current strength and projection to play as doubles power to the middle of the field with HR to the pull side. Overall, there is a solid skill set and athleticism to package a two sides of the game prospect who can provide defensive value with offensive impact at the college level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
