  • LHPPosition Projection

11/07/2020 - Official Player Development Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Fayz is a LHP prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the field. On the mound, Fayz gathers over the rubber and separates his hands on time. He works with a quick arm and finishes square to the plate. Fayz shows a three pitch mix with his fastball topping out at 70mph. Breaking ball sits from 59-63mph with 2-8 break. Changeup sits from 64-65mph with sinking action as he throws with deceptive arm speed. Striding square toward the plate can help Fayz improve his pitch command. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He is smooth to load and leads well with his lower half. He works through a level swing and produces solid line drives to all fields. Fayz can be more controlled throughout his swing by maintaining center balance. With five more years to develop, Fayz has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

11/10/2019 - Interactive Video Program - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Fayz increased arm velocity to 60 MPH and exit velocity to 70 MPH during his last workout. On the mound, this LHP has a balanced delivery, he works quickly, and has direction toward home. His off speed pitches show promise and he competes in the zone. Defensively, Fayz has efficient footwork, he fields squarely, and hands are firm. He makes plays, his exchange is clean, and he throws with consistency to his target. Offensively, Fayz has a tall stance, a short/square stride, and fast bat speed. He has a short/direct barrel, keeps a still head, and hits with strength to the pull side. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
