02/12/2021 - Baseball Factory Opening Day Classic (HS - East) Felix is an OF/1B prospect who showcased his skills during the Opening Day Classic. In the field, Felix makes the routine plays and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Getting into a more athletic fielding position can help Felix field ground balls more efficiently. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and works to barrel up the baseball, producing solid line drives. Felix can create more consistent contact by working through a shorter swing. Overall, Felix is a developing prospect who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

12/12/2020 - All-In Membership - East Hampton (Hartford), CT Felix is a 1B/OF prospect who continues to showcase his skills on the diamond. In the field, Felix shows proper footwork and covers ground well. He gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. His exchange is a clean and he makes accurate, on-line throws to his target. Playing through the ball more can help Felix make stronger throws. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He gets back into his load and works through a level swing, spraying the ball to all fields. Felix can produce more pop off the barrel by driving his lower half more. With four more years to develop, Felix has the time and potential to further build upon his skills on the field.

01/17/2020 - Baseball Factory's Spring Training at Pirate City (Ages 12-14) Felix is a coachable 1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Spring Training at Pirate City. In the field, Felix gets into position on time and fields with a firm glove. He throws from a 3/4 angle and works to keep his throws accurate to his target. Increasing his lateral range can help Felix improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance and takes a square stride. He works to barrel up the baseball and sprays the ball to all fields. Felix can improve as a hitter by working a smoother load into his swing. Overall, Felix is a solid prospect who has the time and potential to further develop his skills on the field.

12/27/2019 - Interactive Video Program - Rindge, NH Felix showed a spike in offensive numbers and raised his exit velocity to 64 MPH during his last workout. He is an athletic hitter with a proper load, good balance, and a rhythmic swing. Felix swings on plane, he makes square/consistent contact, and he uses his lower body well. In the INF, Felix has good footwork around the bag, he makes plays, and fields squarely. He gains ground toward his target and delivers the ball with consistency. In the OF, Felix has an aggressive approach, he covers ground, and makes plays. The throws with accuracy to his target from a short arm action.

06/19/2019 - Baseball Factory Select Training at the College World Series (Ages 12-14) Felix is a coachable 1B/OF prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Select Training at the College World Series. In the field, Felix gets into a square position and fields the ball out in front of his body. He makes a clean exchange and works to keep his throws accurate to is target. Increasing his lateral range can help Felix improve defensively. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a square stance with comfortable hands. He gets into a small low and rotates his core well, leading to solid contact. Felix can improve as a hitter by driving his lower half more. With five more years to develop, Felix has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

03/02/2019 - Mid Atlantic Regional Hitting Weekend (Ages 12-14) Felix is a coachable 1B prospect who worked hard on his skills during the Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, this RHH sets up in a closed stance and leads well with his lower half. He takes an aggressive hack and drives the ball to all fields. Working a smoother load into his swing can help Felix improve as a hitter. With five more years to develop, Felix has the time and potential to further progress his skills on the field.

01/18/2019 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Felix is a talented 2024 1B prospect that was eager to learn and made several adjustments throughout the weekend. At 1B, Felix works off the bag well and fields the ball in a low position. He needs to continue to be on time with his prep step, present a low/early glove, and work from the ground up. Understanding positioning on cut offs and improving his first step to the ball will increase his range. At the plate, Felix starts in a wide stance and rotates his backside to the ball. He makes consistent contact and has an opposite field approach. He needs to continue load his hands back into the drive position, attack the inside part of the ball, and finish his swing. Being more aggressive on the fastball and creating whip in the barrel will allow him to have more rhythm in his stance as well. Felix continues to improve and we hope to see his progress in the future.

12/02/2018 - Interactive Video Program - Lewiston, ME Felix worked out at 1B and in the OF during his last workout with The Factory. In the INF, Felix makes plays, his feet are active, and he moves well around the bag. He keeps the ball in front, his exchange is clean, and he throws with accuracy across the diamond. In the OF, Felix is aggressive to the ball, and he fields low and athletically. He plays through properly and has an accurate arm to his cut off man. At the plate, Felix has a square set-up, he loads well, and keeps a still head. He has a repeatable swing, makes square contact, and works the middle of the field.

01/12/2018 - Baseball Factory Spring Training at Historic Dodgertown Felix is a hardworking 1B prospect who has a long, lanky build. In the field Felix hustles and works to get in the right position. He presents his glove and fields the ball in an athletic position. He shows solid footwork around the bag. Felix has a long arm action throwing from a high 3/4 arm slot. He shows accurate throws across the diamond. As a right-handed hitter, Felix has a square setup with his weight in the front of his stance. He has a short stride and uses his lower half throughout his swing. He is a selective hitter who shows a patient approach. Felix is a contact type hitter who gives a tough AB. Overall, Felix is a great teammate who plays the game the right way giving him a bright future.

12/09/2017 - Accelerated Hitting Weekend PHS- Columbia, MD Felix is a hard working young prospect. He is a coachable player and he made several adjustments during the Hitting Accelerated Training Weekend. At the plate, Felix starts in a closed stance and has a long stride. Starting in a neutral, athletic stance, and striding toward the pitcher will help him staying directional to the ball. Felix does a good job of loading his hands back and creating rhythm in his hands. Getting his hands into the launch position and getting his front foot down on time will help him recognize pitches more consistently. Attacking the inside part of the ball and using his lower half will create extension through contact. Felix will continue to improve with experience and we hope to see his progress in the future.

11/12/2017 - Interactive Video Program - Middletown (Hartford), CT Felix is a 1B/OF who will graduate in 2024. Defensively at 1B, he takes a prep step and attacks the GB with aggressive footwork. He shows good awareness around the 1B bag and makes accurate throws to his target. In the OF, he hustles well laterally as he tracks down fly balls. He comes up with a clean exchange and makes on-line throws to his target. With the stick, Felix uses a middle of the field approach. He takes aggressive swings and looks to power up on pitches thrown high in the zone. Overall abilities in his game will improve with work on the following.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
