07/18/2014 - 2014 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Team One West Banjac continues to shine on the diamond. In the OF, he tracks balls hit into the gaps with speed. He comes to get it, fields it cleanly and plays through it well toward his target. At the plate, this RHH shows a balanced approach with rhythm. He squares the ball up and drives it on a line. On the mound, Filip has a 1-2 (FB/CB) mix. He delivers from a loose/clean arm action and finishes complete. Breaking ball has 10/4 shape with sharp action. An versatile athlete - Filip's tools will translate well at the next level.

01/17/2014 - Under Armour Pre-Season All-America Tournament Filip is a talented prospect both on the mound as well as in the OF. On the bump, this RHP throws 3 effective pitches coming from a short arm-action. FB pounds the zone and shows arm-side run, cracking the mitt at 86 mph. He shows plus command and works both sides of the plate. Filip works to a tall balance point and works downhill toward the plate. SL has 10/4 shape with tight spin, being a good out-pitch. In the OF, Banjac works fluidly behind the fly-ball and gathers well. He has a loose arm and delivers throws that show carry into his target. At the plate, this righty shows good balance with a solid base. He delivers the barrel on a level path, resulting in line-drives. A prospect on the bump who has a high ceiling.

10/25/2013 - 2013 Under Armour So Cal Classic - Upperclass Participant 10/27/13 - Tall, athletic build, at the plate stands tall and gets good leverage with lower half. Separation is on time with good barrell accuracy, good extension with top hand Flashes Gap to gap power. Defensively covers ground, works to get behind ball and takes aggressive first step.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
