He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields with gap-to-gap pop. Lower half works well through the swing with an aggressive hip turn. Behind the plate he shows a squared setup and tracks the ball well with soft glove. He utilizes his body well through the blocking process but needs to work to get body down sooner. Pop times showed in the 2.37 range with accuracy on his throws. Times will continue to drop as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

10/19/2022 - Arizona Easton Fall Classic - Under Class (2025-2026) Finn is a coachable C/OF prospect who showed well during the Arizona Easton Fall Classic. He centers his body well to the mound and keeps his eyes behind the baseball. He moves well from side to side with the pitch and with balls in the dirt. Has clean exchanges and accurate feeds from an over-the-top release. Throws have carry (81 velo) and shortening his release (2.32 pop) will drive his times down into the 2.0 range. At 2B, he moves his feet well to square his body to the baseball. Has pocket feel and his transfers are clean. His feeds are accurate to his targets. At the plate, he is aggressive with quick hands (85 exit velo). Uses his lower half well to produce an on-path swing plane. Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
