09/19/2015 - 2015 Under Armour Showcase: Baseball Factory's Futures East Zamora is an advanced defender at shortstop with the makings of a solid right-handed stroke. His defensive actions were easy and confident, with sure hands to play the ball and an excellent first step. He accelerated and dialed up the speed when he needed it, allowing for ideal angles to play through the ball with momentum to the target. He has plenty of arm for the shortstop position, though it never looks like he cuts it loose since he utilizes his momentum so well. At the plate, he featured rhythm to hit along with strong hands and a knack to get the barrel to the ball. His move is easy and under control, with more bat speed seemingly on call when he needs it. Overall, Zamora offers a legitimate chance to stay at shortstop along with a feel for hitting and surprising pop.
