06/09/2023 - 2023 Baseball Factory All-State Tournament Gabe continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities at the All-State event. At the plate, hitting potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. At the event, he was 3 for 8 with an RBI. In the OF, he takes proper routes / angles in tracking down balls. He utilizes his foot quickness in covering a lot of ground. On the mound, fastball showed a range of 73-76 mph with good arm side run. Breaking ball displays 11/5 shape with gradual break. Control is solid as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. Stock on mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

08/01/2021 - Baseball Factory National World Series at Pirate City - Session 2 (HS) - HOTEL Gabe is an athletic OF/RHP who has a promising future on the diamond. In the OF not many balls get down that are hit his way (7.19 60 time). Transfer exchange is smooth as he zips throws on a line through his target. He has the versatility to play all 3 OF spots effectively. Throws are accurate with online carry (86 mph velocity) to his target. Offensively, he continues to shine with outstanding hitting / power potential. He has athletic/smooth actions with fluid rhythm to load. He gets good hand separation and delivers the barrel with leverage, resulting in a barrel explosion (80 mph exit velocity). Once on base, he is an aggressive, smart baserunner, getting good jumps. On the mound, delivery is sound / repeatable as he shows good tempo through a strong balance point, allowing his arm action to work quick and free to the plate. Fastball shows a range of 73-75 mph. Breaking ball displays 10/4 shape with downward break. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Mental makeup is a plus as he is very coachable and works hard to be the best player he can be. With 2 years to further develop, Gabe has potential and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
