09/28/2022 - Arizona Senior Fall Classic (2023)
Gabriel is a 2023 LHP/1B who showcased his skills during the Arizona Fall Classic. In the field, Gabriel worked to center the baseball and presents a big target at first base. He tries to create good fielding angles and tracks ball to glove. Made accurate throws to second base from a 3/4 arm slot with an arm velocity up to 82mph. At the plate, he hits from an athletic and even stance with comfortable hands. He activates his hands and gets extended through the hitting zone. He hit line drives consistently to all sides with a bat exit velocity up to 92mph during BP. During the games, he proved to be a tough out as he reached base 6 times with 2 doubles, 3 singles, and a base on balls. A left-handed pitcher he works exclusively from the stretch. He throws from a 3/4 arm slot and has a clean arm stroke. A 3-pitch pitcher who works off of a FB that topped out at 81mph, a 2/8 shaped slider, and a changeup with good movement that he throws with FB arm speed. Gabriel is a 2-way player who has the potential to further build upon his skills on the field.
09/11/2022 - Official College Recruiting Membership - Chandler (Phoenix), AZ
Gabriel worked out at 1B and in the OF during his last workout in Phoenix. He raised arm velocity to 82 MPH and raw power to 55. At 1st base, Gabriel has quick/active feet, soft hands, and he fields athletically. He has good range, a clean exchange, and a strong arm with carry across to his target. In the OF, Gabriel gets in a good ready position and tracks athletically. He has good range, soft hands, and throws with momentum and accuracy to his cut off man. Offensively, Gabriel has an athletic stance, good balance, and he loads his hands back well. He has good bat speed, strength in his swing, and has solid pop to the pull side.
01/07/2022 - 2022 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (AZ)
Gabriel continues to showcase his baseball abilities at the Under Armour Pre Season All American Tournament. At the plate, he displays outstanding hitting abilities with well above average power potential. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) generating bat speed to and through a short / direct / level swing path, creating extension. Barrel accuracy is a plus with baseball exploding off the bat when centered. Power will continue to increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. At 1B, defensive abilities are well above average as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are firm and presents well out front. He shows off his athletic abilities on his feeds of the double play. Throws are accurate with on line zip (82 mph velocity) to his target. On the mound, this lefty has a 3 pitch arsenal in which to keep hitters guessing. FB shows a range of 77-78 mph. Breaking ball displays 2/8 shape with late sharp break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup with arm side run. Stock on the mound will continue to rise as he builds more arm strength through a long toss program. Gabriel has a big upside and will get looks from the collegiate coaches as he continues to progress his game
09/22/2021 - Arizona Junior Fall Classic
Gabriel continues to showcase his baseball tools at the Arizona Junior Fall Classic. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Hands are clean and presents well out front. He moves well laterally with range improving as he increases foot quickness. At the plate, he shows outstanding power with lower half working well through the swing. He shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. Hands are quick and has strength (90 mph exit velocity) in his swing. At the event, he was 2 for 9 with 2B and 2 RBI. On the mound, he shows a controlled, repeatable delivery allowing his quick arm action to work well to the plate. Arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 81 mph. Fastball showed a range of 78-81 mph. Breaking ball displays 3/9 shape with gradual break. He maintains arm speed on his changeup but throws a little too hard, resembling fastball. Off speed stuff show as quality pitches that will get outs. Control is well above average as he attacks hitters and throws strikes with all his pitches. He shows a great feel for pitching and maintains composure on the bump. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.
01/15/2021 - 2021 Baseball Factory Pre-Season All-America Tournament (FL)
Gabriel is a talented/athletic (5'10"/195) two-way prospect (1B/OF/RHP) in the class of 2023 with a good feel for the game. He has a good presence at the plate, taking the box with a square/athletic setup. He uses a line-drive approach with quiet/smooth actions at the plate making him a tough out. He uses fast hands through an on-plane swing path to create consistent power, hitting the ball deep into the gaps (exit velo = 86 mph). Defensively, he uses good footwork to create range, allowing him to cover ground and get to any ball hit his way. He attacks the ball in a square/athletic position with soft hands, creating a clean exchange. He creates momentum into his release showing accurate/online throws from a high 3/4 arm slot. On the mound he has a solid delivery, keeping his eyes on his target and throwing on a downhill plane. FB ranges 71-76 with good life and CB has 1-7 shape with tight spin. Gabriel has a very bright future on the diamond, and we look forward to watching him compete at future events.

Gabriel continued to show off his baseball abilities at the recruiting classic. At 1B, defensive abilities are outstanding as he displays clean / smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork as he works to square ground balls and plays through with his body. He is a quality receiver at the bag, displaying proper footwork. Glove action is soft and presents well out front. Throws are accurate with carry to his target as he gets rid of the baseball quickly. At the plate, he continues to shine through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields and has strength in his swing with gap to gap pop. Mental makeup is a plus as he has a positive attitude, works hard, and is very coachable.
10/24/2020 - Fall Pro Training Experience - So Cal (HS)
Gabriel shows as a prospect on the diamond as he continues to improve his baseball tools. At the plate is where he has improved the most, now showing outstanding hitting / power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (85 mph exit velocity) and work through an aggressive swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields, and has strength in his swing with gap-to-gap pop. At the event he was 4 for 7 with a 2B. At 1B, he continues to shine as he displays smooth actions. Feet are active as he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean, presents well out front, and consistently showed the ability to pick balls out of the dirt. Range will increase as he continues to improve foot quickness. Throws are accurate but will benefit by continuing to build arm strength through a long toss program. Gabriel will get looks from the college coaches as he continues to progress his game.

Gabriel continues to shine on the diamond with improvements in his baseball abilities. At 1B, he displays proper footwork around the bag and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean and presents well out front. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. At the plate, hitting / power potential has improved through a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He stays inside the ball, utilizing all fields through a line drive approach, flashing gap-to-gap pop. Power will increase as he utilizes his lower half more efficiently. On the mound, arm strength has improved as he threw his top velocity to date at 72 mph. Breaking ball displays 12/6 shape with gradual break. Stock on the mound will continue to increase as builds more arm strength through a long toss program.

Gabriel is a solid, athletic 1B/OF who has a promising future on the diamond. At 1B, he displays proper footwork, good bag awareness, and is a quality receiver. Glove action is clean as he presents well out front. In the OF, he displays clean actions. Feet are aggressive as he takes proper angles in tracking balls down. He works to get behind balls and plays through balls with momentum to his target. Range will increase as he improves foot quickness. Throws are accurate but needs to build more arm strength through a long toss program. At the plate, he continues to shine, displaying well above average power potential through a squared setup. Hands are quick (83 mph exit velocity) and work through a level swing path. He has strength in his swing and shows a feel for the barrel with power showing best to the pull side. With 4 years to further develop, Gabriel has potential with time and room to progress his game.
