03/04/2012 - College PREP - Indianapolis, IN Gage is a tall, thin, 2-way player who plays OF and SS. In the OF, Gage has okay hands and feet, and he works behind the ball well. He makes the routine plays and throws with a long arm action with decent accuracy to his target. A lower approach, looser actions, and playing more through the ball can help abilities in the OF get better. At SS, Gage has a decent glove and he moves to the ball with some feel. He tries to keep it in front, his exchange is clean, and he throws with a long arm action with consistency to 1st base. A softer glove, quicker feet, and added arm strength will help INF skills improve. At the plate, Gage has a tall set-up, a short stride, and a still head. He has average bat speed and he makes some contact. Hitting can get better if Gage can work on his barrel accuracy, improve his timing, and use more lower 1/2, hitting can spike.
