10/18/2020 - All-In Membership - Birmingham, AL Gage is a talented LHH 3B who can swing it with power. Offensively, this lefty stands in with an athletic setup, a solid base and active hands to load. He jumps on pitches he likes, whipping the barrel with intent and connecting with power. The ball explodes off of his barrel shown by his impressive exit velocity - 100 mph. At 3B, he has active prep and works right to left into an athletic fielding position. Hands are soft as he presents out front and funnels cleanly. Backhand play is smooth as he works through it well. Throws have accuracy and carry. Gage is a skilled 3B prospect who has the skills that will translate into the next level.

Tool Grade Scale

Our main goals with the BF "10-70" Scouting Scale are to provide the player with a realistic evaluation of his "PRESENT" abilities (what he can do today), and to provide college coaches with information they can use to identify and/or compare potential recruits.

Tools are graded for all players and pitchers, regardless of age or graduation year. However, for High School players we use only grades 20-70 (grades 10-18 do not apply), while for Middle School players we use only grades 10-52 (grades 55-70 do not apply).
